CENTA - Food Technology

The Centre for New Food Technologies and Processes (CENTA) was established in 2006 with the aim of contributing to the modernization and competitiveness of the agrifood industry.

The activities at the Centre began in June 2007. During the years 2007 and 2008, CENTA was funded by CIDEM to support the start of operation by which exercise may function as a Technology Centre Technology Centres Network of the Generalitat of Catalonia, in 2009 he joined a network of more coverage called TECNIO. Network technology that enhances differential, business innovation and excellence in Catalonia.

From its beginnings CENTA is part of the Associated Schools Network System of Cooperative Research and Development Institute for Research and Technology (IRTA), which reinforces its position to  offer wide-ranging solutions to the challenges of the food industry.
