The facilities and all the cutting-edge technology that CENTA offers are located in Monells (Girona), a building area of 4.100m2.

This building is a major infrastructure service companies and food research. The centre has the most modern processing technologies, such as high hydrostatic pressure treatments, microwave and radio frequency technology, quick drying system, high-intensity light pulse technology etc...

The centre has also microbiology, physics and chemistry laboratories, raw materials reception area,  pre-treatment rooms, treatment rooms, clean room, packaging room and palletizing expedition area. It also room temperature and cold storage rooms.

CENTA offers a lecture theatre, a multi-purpose room for teaching and demonstrations. Here you carry out various training activities of the IRTA-Centre for businesses and institutions. It has a seating capacity for 90 people upwards with simultaneous translation booths. The auditorium is separated from the pilot plan  (equipped with the most modern production technologies) by a large panoramic glass that allows the monitoring of the demonstration and class practice taking place. This view is complemented by a giant screen installed inside the auditorium that emits the images captured by video cameras placed in the pilot plant.
